Another one for the beach bag: The Ballroom by Anna Hope

I've just finished reading this book, dedicated to the author's great great grandfather who spent the last nine years of his life in an asylum in Yorkshire. 'The Ballroom' is a love story set in the same asylum in 1911 when the eugenics movement in the UK was gathering momentum. Like my own work in progress, Hellingly, this story is a work of fiction but inspired by facts.
