Writers Who Made Me: Rudyard Kipling

Who (O Best Beloved) remembers "How The Alphabet Was Written", "The Elephant's Child" or "How the Camel Got His Hump" ?

I read the "Just So Stories" over and over again. My book used to look like this -

but it's rather more battered now with the front cover hanging off. I'd say it shows all the signs of being a beloved book.

Of course Rudyard Kipling also gave us "Rikki Tikki Tavi", "Kim" and "The Jungle Book". The Disney animated version of the latter is still one of my favourite films of all time. He wrote prolifically producing many other novels, many memorable short stories, poems and ballads including "If - " and "Gunga Din" as well as his own autobiography/
